Crest Whitestrips Supreme Professional Strength 84 strips

Filed under: Beauty — healthcarenow @ 11:41 am

You could notice a difference just one week into using these strips. I went to a birthday party one week in and my whole family noticed too. I bought these as a reward for quitting smoking and I was very happy at how they got the yellow nicotine stains out. Love the size too. Very long so all the teeth that show when you smile get whitened.

New 2008 Designer Skin Black Tanning Lotion 20x Bronzers

Filed under: Beauty — healthcarenow @ 5:48 pm

This product doesn’t leave icky smell after you get done tanning. I used to have to rush home to shower, before I ran errands. Now that I use NEW 2008 Designer Skin Black Tanning Lotion 20x Bronzers, I can make that stop and not have to worry about running someone off with the smell that most tanning lotions leave behind.
I bought this product here at amazon. com and I saved money. In salons they charge near $100 for this product. So if you use or are wanting to try this product out, save yourself $ and purchase through amazon.com :)

Groom Mate Platinum XL Nose & Ear Hair Trimmer

Filed under: Beauty — healthcarenow @ 2:58 am

The Platinum XL nose hair trimmer was recommended to me by a friend and after doing my own research I decided to purchase one. It is an elegant solution to a tedious grooming task that I never look forward to. After a couple of uses I have become quite adept at using it and still have not pulled out any hairs or caused any blood loss.

I expect this tool to last a long time based on the quality build and the company was great at getting it to me very quickly and at no charge for shipping even to Canada.

I recommend it highly and cheers!

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Deep Wrinkle Moisturizing Treatment, Anti-Wrinkle, Intensive

Filed under: Beauty — healthcarenow @ 7:56 am

Although I have been using Neutrogena products my whole life, and believe they are consistently one of the best market brands of cosmetics on the market today, I have to say that I have truly been surprised at how well this cream works-I can SEE a diminishing of the cracks when I use it, and the fact that it stings a little when I put it on (I use a lot, rather than a little) tells me that there is enough of the Retinol and acid in the cream to actually make a difference. I love Neutrogena’s intensive night cream (which I use during the day) and I use this anti-wrinkle cream with it. This is a product that has an excellent price/quality ratio!

Waterpik Ultra Dental Water Jet

Filed under: Beauty — healthcarenow @ 12:16 am

The only reason for the four and not five star is the first unit broke two days out of the box. The replacement worked fine. The product does what it says it does, and does it well. However using it as described in the instructions is a bit painful. Following the different instructions from my dentist make it much more comfortable. While it’s water hose is a bit thin making me ponder it’s life expectancy the unit seems durable. I would feel better if the dentist’s and the products manuals indicated the same manner of use. While using this product, teeth cleaning is a bit more messy, time consuming and scares the Kats, my teeth are in better condition.

Molle Military Field Medic Surgical Instrument Kit -Blk

Filed under: Beauty — healthcarenow @ 2:33 am

Having bought this product for use on minor emergencies, I found it a good addition to my first aid equipment. The instruments are adiquate for the intended use. However the included penlight didn’t work. The disposable penlight was a good inclusion in the kit, but all the items should have been checked for reliability before being sent to the consumer!!!!

Graham Field Dissecting Kit – Standard

Filed under: Beauty — healthcarenow @ 2:30 am

If you are in an anatomy lab of any type, this is a worthless kit! It comes with NO blades! (Handles yes…) The felt case is an absorbent for all the nasties in the lab. It is extremely over priced compared to the sets in the school bookstores!

Farouk CHI 1 Inch Ceramic Flat Hairstyling Iron

Filed under: Beauty — healthcarenow @ 2:23 pm

How it works
The iron is rather heavy, has two flat tongs lined with a ceramic plate on each tong’s inner surface. The unit stays open until you close it across a lock of hair. It plugs into the wall, heats up in about half a minute and gets QUITE warm, well, hot even. I prop mine on a towel to prevent burning the resin vanity surface. The iron is about one inch wide, slightly curved inside.

Unlike a curling iron made of metal, the ceramic surface straightens and somehow reduces static. And the smoothness, the glass-like surface slides across the hair, contacting each hair to make a shiny smooth finish.

How to Use
Turn on iron, let heat up. Now, take a comb and pull out a lock of hair and as you comb, run the iron behind it down the entire length of the hair. Try to get as close to the scalp as you can. Repeat this all over your head. If your hair is bushy, use hairdresser clips to section off the hair that’s not being styled at the moment. This really helps.

You should use a heat-protective serum or spray, as the heat is rather warm and can damage hair. There are a number on the market that are aimed at high-temperature hair styling.

Results
This is not the easiest technique to use on oneself. I am not so great with hairdryers either, so it’s a bit clumsy for me to comb and iron, but when done, my hair is smooth and frizz free and it lasts all day. The frizziest hair (on my temples) is the hardest to smooth out, but it does work.

Supposedly, if you are really good at this, you can turn the iron and use it like a curling iron. I have had NO luck with this technique.

Durability
The iron looks as if it should be protected between uses. Mine came with a drawstring bag. If you drop it, I think it would be all over. So I am careful to stow it in a drawer afterwards. (After it cools.) Putting hair product on can gum up the plates; there is a specific cleaner for ceramic irons on the market if you find after some time your iron plates are sticky. This would really negatively impact how smoothly the iron slides. So keep it clean.

Summary
While in winter, I have no trouble, in summer, my hair frizzes like mad with the humidity. Even sleeping on a satin pillowcase is not enough to banish the frizz. This iron keeps my hair smooth and shiny. It isn’t as easy to use as a hairdryer, but the results are worth it.

U.S. Military Field Style Medic Surgical Instrument Kit

Filed under: Beauty — healthcarenow @ 7:29 pm

This is a handy basic kit. The kit is missing or could use a needle driver and large pickups. But, overall for the quality and price, this makes a great basic kit.
