Warts are caused by the Human Papilomavirus. HPV enters the body in an area of broken skin. The virus causes the top layers of the infected skin to grow rapidly, producing a wart. The body has a hard time eliminating warts because warts hide in our own cells where the immune system cannot find or recognize them as being foreign. However, over time, sometimes years, the immune system finally “discovers” the wart virus and produces anti-bodies against it. At this point, all the warts are attacked and eliminated.

Warts can occur anywhere on the body. There are many different kinds of warts. “Common warts” appear most often on the hands, but they may appear anywhere on the body. They are rough, gray-brown, dome-shaped growths. “Plantar warts” occur on the bottom of the feet, are hard, thick patches of skin with dark specks inside the growth.

Flat warts are found on the face, arms, or legs. They are small (about 2-4 mm in diameter), have flat surfaces. and are pink, light brown, dark brown, or skin-colored yellow.

Filiform warts are generally found around the mouth, on or in the nose, or in the beard area. They are flesh-colored with jagged fingerlike edges.

Periungual warts are found under and around the toenails and fingernails. They appear as rough, irregular bumps. These warts are very painful to treat as the fingers are very sensitve with lots of nerve endings.

Genital warts occur on the genitals, around the anus, within the rectum or vagina, or on the cervix. Don’t use cryotherapy or salicylic therapy on genital warts – consult with an MD.

The difficulty level of many of the Pretest questions is appropriate; however, the content is off the mark with reference to what shows up on the NBME shelf exam. I found the pretest questions to be more challenging than those in the Appleton and Lange book (see my review), but too much attention is given to details of lyte management, chemotherapy etc. in pretest. The surgery shelf actually contains a fair amount of basic internal medicine type questions. I found surgical recall to be most helpful in preparation for this aspect of the shelf. I recommend doing the pretest questions, but advise caution. Use something to review basic medicine (again I relied on Recall and it worked).

I’m glad I found ZOIC. I have always been a “big guy” but I got a bit older and my cholesterol and BP went up too much for my doc’s approval. She recommended that I try ZOIC to lower my cholesterol & drop a few pounds. ZOIC is apparently endorsed by the American Heart Association. It tastes pretty good too, I like it. It’s not quite as good as McDonalds milkshake — but hey — drinking milkshakes is how I got this heavy in the first place. I drink it fter going to the gym or sometimes for breakfast. I like it alot better than Slimfast and Atkins which I have tried in the past. I read the earlier review comparing ZOIC and Slimfast and can’t believe how much healthier the content is in ZOIC. I even have my wife drinking it now, and she really likes it too (and she doesn’t usually like healthy stuff).

After just one use, I loved this bike. Since I’m somewhat out of shape, having the ability to ride the bike allows me to extend my workout and keep my heart rate up for longer than I could with just a straight elliptical. However, after about 2 months of use, the washers between the bars securing the handles to the foot pedals broke off and now the entire machine creaks and wobbles, especially at high speeds. Thinking that I just needed to replace the washers, I’ve been on a month long search of every hardware store in my city that has been in vain. I’ve not yet been able to find washers even close to what I need. Even searching online has yet yielded results. I love the machine and think it was somewhat worth the money I spent, but having this little detail go wrong and prove unsolvable is totally disappointing.

You could notice a difference just one week into using these strips. I went to a birthday party one week in and my whole family noticed too. I bought these as a reward for quitting smoking and I was very happy at how they got the yellow nicotine stains out. Love the size too. Very long so all the teeth that show when you smile get whitened.

This product doesn’t leave icky smell after you get done tanning. I used to have to rush home to shower, before I ran errands. Now that I use NEW 2008 Designer Skin Black Tanning Lotion 20x Bronzers, I can make that stop and not have to worry about running someone off with the smell that most tanning lotions leave behind.

Easy to use and software makes it fun to use

I wasn’t sure I would use the downloading capability of this pedometer when I ordered it. I have had the pedometer for over a month and am so glad I got this feature. It distinguishes this pedometer from all of the others. I wear it every day with the belt clip and the safety lanyard. I look forward to the end of the week when I review my progress. I would definitely recommend this product.

My daughter had diaper rash at the tender age of 2 months which we found a little odd. Our first one did not have any such problem. Later we found out that her skin was very sensitive. We tried several products not knowing that they all contained zinc oxide. zinc oxide hardens the skin and she couldn’t tolerate it at all. So, we tried this Angel baby product and it worked great. No irritation and no rashes.

But the product is slightly expensive. Amazon was the only place I got a pack of 2 (2oz) for about $19. Other sites were selling each for around $15.00. Even then it is expensive with shipping.

An easy read with lots of valuable information on how to do it right the first time. Plenty of resources listed to gather more info from, as well as the importance of the marketing plan and how to go about it. Even if our are already established the book offers many useful tools for successful business operations.

 What a great name for a snack. My kids (5 and 7) love these. I find them pretty tasty too.

These are bascially cheese puffs although softer and “smoother” than your standard mass market puff (like cheetos).

These are a regular in our snack cabinet (the other being pirates cannon balls :->)
